Band Bio: The Lizards is the brainchild of bassist Randy Pratt and guitarist Patrick Klein. The two first came together to form Hyperspace Records, a label that specializes in the release of new material by classic rock acts. The pair have reformed and recorded material by Vanilla Fudge, Cactus, Sir Lord Baltimore, Blue Cheer, Randy Holden, The Vagrants, The Illusion and others. If the pair didn't create the "New Classic Rock" scene, they are certainly two of its most significant progenitors.

Klein and Pratt are rockers first and foremost though, so in the process of the various productions they took the cream of these bands and formed their rock 'n' roll dream band - The Lizards.

Vocalist Mike DiMeo hails from the heavy metal group Riot. His singing brings a new range, depth and soul to The Lizards special blend of hard rock.

Bobby Rondinelli sits in the drummer's seat. Bobby has toured and recorded with the likes of Rainbow, Black Sabbath and Blue Oyster Cult. Bobby can, with great finesse and agility, beat the daylights out of a kit.

Guitar riffmeister Patrick Klein's genius thrives in his simplicity and diverse tonal palette. His vocal abilities add an extra dimension to DiMeo's tour de force.

The Lizards is rounded out by bassist Randy Pratt. Not content with the droning of a conventional instrument, Randy uses a 6-string bass exclusively to push The Lizards off the Richter scale.

To date The Lizards have released four CDs and two live DVDs, all of which have received critical acclaim worldwide. The band's most recent CD Cold Blooded Kings is a masterwork in hard rock - fans and critics alike are raving about its brilliance!

The Lizards have completed several successful tours of Europe, Scandinavia, Turkey and Russia opening for the likes of the Vanilla Fudge, Canned Heat and Travers & Appice. During a gig in the UK in Sept. 2004, The Lizards backed-up legendary Led Zeppelin front man Robert Plant for a rousing encore that tore the house down! The band recently completed an extensive tour (winter 2005) opening for renowned Deep Purple bassist Glenn Hughes. Spring 2005 saw The Lizards tour Europe with ex-Mott The Hoople vocalist Ian Hunter and metal giants UFO. Along with preparing for a mini-tour of the U.S. with UFO in summer '05, The Lizards are in the process of finishing their latest studio album, which promises to be the best yet!
