Band Bio: The Godsend Sessions are a New York City rock n' roll band, led by the powerful, soulful voice and guitar of frontman Joe Gande.The current live line-up alsoincludes New York City's greatest five piece horn section (The Mountain Stab Horns), featuring Tim Ouimette on trumpet(The Tim Ouimette Big Band,The Four Tops...), long time friend, Craig Shrawder on keys and vocals, Kevin Bregande(thank God!!!!!) - drums, Jim Gately - guitars and vocals, Neal Ostberg on bass.You Gotta See 'em live!!!!!!

The band has recently completed the album,"But First...This Song", recorded and produced by singer/songwriter Joe Gande and bassist Neal Ostberg. After endless pre - production, 17 exploding drummers,the quest for the holy engineer and 29 vats of coffee, out of Joe's head and into the studio the songs went. The initial basic rhythm tracks took 2 days and the rest of the recording madness finished up after approximately one year. The result... a record that has a classic yet modern sound with a somewhat 1970's vibe(analog tape!), offering an eclectic mix of musical styles.One can hear elements of hard rock,pop,jazz,soul and blues.The music provides listeners with dynamics, heartfelt emotions and a certain raw intensity, that for the most part, seems to be missing on today's music scene.From song to song you may hear lush string arrangements, powerful vocal harmonies,walls of guitars and jazzy, funky, rhythm grooves.
